ARTIST - SURREALISM & ABSTRACT


Surreal & Abstract artist "Karina Sher"  has been featured in ASPIRE MAGAZINE as one of the best artists in Leicestershire for unique and original work.  While many artists follow a very similar route, Karina has created art which has been noted as "avant garde", "outside the box" and "imaginatively brilliant". 


Her influences include Dali, Rassouli, Geiger and De Vinci.  She enjoys a variety of artists to create a style unique to her own and dislikes boundaries when it comes to expression.  She puts emphasis on freedom in all her art based projects allowing herself to be free with imagination no matter how different. 


She will be featured in many online and hardback magazines in 2016 including another feature in Aspire Magazine in April 2016 revealing her work.

BOHEMIA – MENU
MEAL OPTIONS – MEAT
CHOICE OF 1 STARTER, 1 MAIN AND 1 DESSERT

STARTERS:
1. WONDROUS WINGS
Huge 3 joint chicken wings brined in spices, twice cooked for extra crispy skin in either cumin, spike and slaughter or salt & peppered
2. AVANT GUARD STEAK
Feather blade steak flash fried in butter, with soy, garlic, red chilli & ginger
3. ARTISIAN CHICKEN KEBAB
Succulent chicken breast, marinated in yoghurt & a blend of spices, then chargrilled & sprinkled with coriander.
4. CRISPY FISH
Fresh cod pieces draped in an airy spicy batter and lightly fried; served with pickles, coriander, chilli and lime

MAIN: All mains come with chips or side salad

1. CHEEKY CHOPS
The largest long-bone LAMB chops, marinated in yoghurt and a blend of spices, cooked in our clay oven for extra flavour & served with pickles, coriander, chilli and harissa. (GF)
2. RIBTASTIC
Slow-cooked in garlic & paprika until the PORK meat falls from the bone, painted in Spike sauce and finished on the chargrill for extra flavour; served with more Spike sauce, pickles, coriander and chilli. (GF)
3. BONEHARD BURGER
(Traditional American burger) aged hand-made BEEF patty, grilled in butter, with smoked bacon, smoked cheese, hand-made pickles, lettuce, red onion, Frenchie’s mustard, mucky mayo & ketchup. Served in a toasted artisan bun.
4. ROMEO ROMEO
Grilled CHICKEN with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, chives, cucumber, basil, smoked cheese and pesto Mayo. Served on a toasted artisan bun

STARTER
1. SPIKED CORN
A Mexican speciality, painted in spiced mayo and finished on the grill; smothered in cheese. Pickled onions and herbs to finish. (V) (GF)
2. MEAT THIEF
A VEG mix of chunky chopped onions, sweetcorn, peppers, cauliflower, celery & carrots; covered in an airy batter and lightly fried. Smothered in an Indochinese sauce. (V)
3. ‘SHROOMS
Succulent mushrooms deep rich flavours umami style. (V)
4. DIRTY HUMM
Handmade traditional hummus, then smacked with Boneyard harissa; served with pickles, flat bread and lemon. (V)

MAIN: (Served with fries or side salad)
1. WILD HIPPIE BURGER
Large field MUSHROOM lightly fried in butter, with smoked cheese, red onion, mucky mayo, pickles and lettuce. Served on a toasted artisan bun. (V)
2. IF GANDHI WORE NIKEYS
Spiked & lightly fried crunchy vegetables, with slaw, pickles and dirty hummus; doused in Slaughter sauce. Served on a toasted artisan bun. (V)
3. HULLABALLOO
Lightly grilled creamy Halloumi. (V)
4. CLASSIC GREEK SALAD
Red onion, tomato and cucumber with oregano, lemon juice, olive oil and feta cheese.

VEGAN OPTIONS – NON-MEAT & DAIRY FREE – RECEIPES BY KARINA SHER AUTHOR OF “VEGANIZE MY LIFE”
STARTERS:
1. SENSUAL MORROCON DELIGHT:
Grilled vegetable kebab skewers made with mushrooms, red onion, aubergine and peppers sautéed in Moroccan spices served with a spicy hummus or barbecue sauce.
2. GET STUFFED!
Pan fried Portobello mushroom in a garlic, thyme and white wine, then stuffed with dairy free cream cheese and chives sprinkled with breadcrumbs and baked in the oven. Served with a light salad
3. DELICIOUS DARING DUNKS
Garlic ciabatta bread slices served with chopped cherry tomatoes soaked in garlic, thyme, black pepper and olive oil with a pot of hummus to dunk right in.
4. TASTY TERAYAKI TREASURES
Vegan Teriyaki mock duck wraps – Vegan mock duck gently pan fried with teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic and chilli, gently wrapped in a tortilla wrap along with shredded lettuce, cucumber and spring onions with a plum sauce

MAINS: (SERVED WITH FRIES OR SIDE SALAD)

1. THE GREAT BOHEMIAN VEGAN TASTY
Grilled ¼ pounder soya burger with a slice of melted violife cheese, fresh salad, fried onions, jalapenos in a bun served with fries and a choice of barbecue or tomato sauce
2. FLAMBOYANT FAJITAS
Vegan Fajitas using either sizzling mushrooms or vegan mock chicken strips in a delicious fajita seasoning with peppers, onions garlic and a hint of chilli served with Peri Peri spices fries and a serving of guacamole or salsa
3. POETIC PASTA
Vegan Vegetable Pasta – Mixed vegetables pasta cooked in a garlic, red wine, tomato, oregano, basil, thyme and black peppered sauce served with grated dairy free cheese melted on top with cracked black pepper and accompanied with garlic ciabatta bread and side salad
4. BANGING BANGERS AND MASH!
Vegan Sausages & Mash – Delicious Soya based sausages grilled and served with homemade dairy free mash potato made from real potatoes along with sautéed green beans smothered in vegan gravy

DESSERT:  DAIRY OR NON DAIRY OPTIONS AVAILABLE

1. BOHEMIAN VEGAN FRUIT MEDLEY
Blueberries, chopped banana, strawberries and grapes with dipping chocolate soya pot (vegan option)
2. NAUGHTY CHOCOLATE TASTY
A very naughty slice of chocolate cake accompanied with strawberries (vegan option)
3. I SCREAM!
Screaming for more, we bring you some tasty ice-scream or a sexy sorbet (non-dairy) Please ask for flavours at the restaurant.

You can’t beat a cheesy love song like you can’t be a slice of a gorgeous strawberry cheesecake to light up your love for dessert (non-dairy).

Special Guest Published Poet:

Karina Sher

Karina Sher is a published poet and author of The Black Forest, she is also the songwriter/vocalist for her solo project LAKE OF DREAMS and published artist in the top 10 artists in Leicestershire published in Aspire Magazine for being completely original in her form of abstract and surreal art. She will be reading extracts of her book and tracks from her debut EP Lake Of Dreams will be plugged during the night. Prints of her art will also be available to buy.

She is also releasing a book called VEGANIZE MY LIFE in 2018 and the recipes for all vegan options at the restaurant will be from her book. So you get first hand samples of her food.

Special Guest Jonathan Taylor Published Poet & Author:

Jonathon Tayler is a published author, editor, lecturer and critic. His books include the novel "Melissa" (Salt 2015), the memoir "Take Me Home" (Granta 2007) and the poetry collection "Musicolepsy" (Shoestring 2013). He directs the MA in Creative Writing at the University Of Leicester. He lives with his wife Maria Taylor and their twin daughters Rosalind and Miranda. His website is as follows:

Kimmy Leiser

Kimmy Leiser has been writing poetry and has been reciting poetry and spoken word events across Leicester. Emotive and deep, Kimmy has some great poetry to recite. A welcome addition as a guest speaker for this event.

INFORMATION:

More poets and spoken word artists TBC and we are happy to have an open mic theme slots during the night if those who are coming would like to have a go. The best selected on the night will have a chance to be our guest poet for the next event.

Tickets are £25 each which includes all entertainment and all food.
